is often the subject of debates among Babetta owners.
bbttagroup’s opinion:
it really doesn’t matter; both can be tuned well.
Pros and cons
Pros
Dellorto:
-
simple tuning just by swapping the jet — appreciated by beginners
-
option to choose the venturi size when buying the carburetor
-
plastic float bowl — doesn’t corrode
-
built-in fuel filter
Jikov:
-
tuning can be done by lowering/raising the float level by deforming (bending) the float — no need to change the jet
-
preserves the machine’s originality
Cons
Dellorto:
-
the original metal intake manifold isn’t sufficiently free-flowing
-
higher price
Jikov:
-
tuning is more complicated
-
only two venturi sizes (12 mm on the 207, 14 mm on the 210)
